How to Check a Sex Toy Recall: Match the Model Before Taking Action

Two adults seen from behind walking along a city street in black and white.

Quick answer: Check a sex toy recall against the exact manufacturer, model and any batch or date identifiers in the official notice. Use the relevant US or UK product-safety directory, then follow that notice's remedy. A similar photograph or the absence of a search result is not a safety clearance. This article does not report a Daziner recall or certify that any model is recall-free.

A warning shared online can be useful, but it may omit the detail that determines whether your device is affected. The first task is verification. The next is following the correct instructions, which may differ from an ordinary warranty return.

Collect the identifiers you already have

Look at the order confirmation, packaging, accessible product label and manual. Record the manufacturer, exact model name, purchase market and any visible batch, serial or date code. Photograph labels without opening a sealed enclosure or removing parts not intended for user removal.

A nickname such as “rose,” “bullet” or “wand” is not a unique product identifier. Nor is a colour. Keep the seller's name separate from the manufacturer's name; a retailer may sell products made by several businesses.

If a label is unreadable or you discarded the packaging, tell support what you do have. An order number and product photograph may help them identify the version. Missing details are a reason to ask, not to guess a code from someone else's photograph.

Use an official source for your market

For US consumer-product notices, start with the Consumer Product Safety Commission recall directory. For the UK, use the Office for Product Safety and Standards alerts, reports and recalls. The UK service distinguishes notice types; read the actual entry rather than assuming every report has the same remedy.

Also check the manufacturer's official support channel, especially when the notice directs you there. If an item is marketed as a medical device, the relevant regulator and notice route may differ. The directories here are starting points, not an exhaustive global search or a classification of every intimate product.

A social-media screenshot is useful for finding the original notice. It should not replace that notice. Follow a link through the official directory or navigate to the manufacturer's known site rather than entering payment or identity details on an unfamiliar “refund” page.

Match the notice rather than the photograph

Notice detail What to compare
Manufacturer and model The complete identification, not a general shape
Batch, serial or date range Your own visible code, if the notice specifies one
Market or sales information The purchase information relevant to the notice
Hazard and instructions The actual stop-use and remedy directions

Save the notice URL and date with your comparison. If one identifier differs, do not automatically decide either that you are affected or that you are excluded. Ask the official contact to resolve the mismatch.

A search returning nothing is limited evidence. It may reflect wording, a different identifier or the scope of the database. It is not a reason to continue using a device with a split surface, unusual heat or another concerning change.

Follow the remedy without improvising a return

Read whether the notice says to stop use, stop charging, contact the maker or follow a particular return or disposal process. Do not dismantle the device, destroy it for a photograph or mail a battery-containing item unless the actual instructions and carrier requirements allow that action.

Keep the correspondence and any reference number. A recall remedy is not necessarily the same as the retailer's ordinary returns policy. Our warranty-report guide is useful when you are documenting a fault, but it cannot override a safety notice.

If there is no applicable notice and the product has a problem, request model-specific support anyway. You do not have to wait for a recall to stop using something that appears damaged.

Recall questions, answered

Does the same shape mean the same recall?

No. Match the named model and other identifiers.

Does no search result prove safety?

No. It is not a condition check or comprehensive clearance.

Should I send the device back immediately?

Follow the verified remedy and transport instructions first, particularly for a powered device.

Sources and editorial approach

Official directories linked above were checked October 15, 2026. The checklist is an original consumer decision aid. No recall status, refund entitlement or current safety certification is assigned to a Daziner product.
